Art Education Programs

Each spring, summer, fall and winter season, we offer a wide variety of creative classes for all ages. Taught by local artists and teachers, classes include instruction in drawing, painting, photography, stained glass, and pottery, as well as creative writing and printmaking. We also plan to add digital arts, fiber arts, metalsmithing and more. Partner with us at the EDUCATE level to support our program administration, advertising, and the purchase of supplies and materials FOR ALL FOUR SEMESTERS.

Youth Summer Camp

This EIGHT-WEEK summer camp is designed for children ages 6-14. Each week connects art to other areas of study (science, culture, music, etc.), providing kids with a hands-on artistic approach to learning about the world we live in.

Every week children undertake different projects, with a choice of focus on 2D Art (painting, drawing, and printmaking), 3D Art (pottery and sculpture), Crafts (fiber, fabrics, and jewelry), and/or Digital Art (graphic design, photography, and animation). Partner with us at the EDUCATE level to provide 25 need-based SCHOLARSHIPS to support deserving campers.

Art & Culinary Entrepreneurs

As a member of the Hazleton Innovation Collaborative (THInC), Hazleton Art League supports creative Entrepreneurs by providing the facilities they need to launch and nurture their own business. This includes the Hazleton Kitchen Incubator, a 300 sq ft commercially licensed kitchen for culinary start-ups. We also provide private studio time and access to specialized equipment, like our clay kilns and digital arts lab. Our partners provide education and other helpful resources. Partner with us at the EDUCATE level to help FIVE ENTREPRENEURS defray their rent and pay for other necessary startup costs and services they otherwise would not be able to afford.
