Celebrate the Arts with the Hazleton Art League!

The Hazleton Art League (HAL) is a place where people from all walks of life gather for a singular purpose—to celebrate the creative freedom that can only be expressed through the Arts. Our community is diverse and has so much talent! Inside HAL’s walls you will find seniors honing their artistic skills, children eager to share their artistic creations with their parents, and everyone in between. The Art League is a beacon of hope and possibility for “Hazleton on the Rise”.

Celebrate Big for the Arts is the primary fundraiser that allows the Hazleton Art League to fulfill its mission. Our event for 2024 will take place Thursday, March 21 at the Hayden Family Center for the Arts. The evening will begin with hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in our Main Gallery. You will be invited to tour and explore the many different studios and areas that the center has to offer. Enjoy delicious food prepared by local chefs, served buffet style and finish the evening by dancing to live music.

Monthly Gallery Exhibitions

Each month the Hazleton Art League (HAL) hosts special exhibitions featuring the talents of local artists, as well as those from outside our area. These are free and open to the public.

The opening reception for exhibits is the FIRST FRIDAY of the month from 6:00pm - 9:00pm, which typically coincide with musical events and cultural celebrations.

These provide a wonderful opportunity for artists to gain exposure and sell their work. A portion of all sales benefits HAL.

Educate

Art Education Programs

Each spring, summer, fall and winter season, we offer a wide variety of creative classes for all ages. Taught by local artists and teachers, classes include instruction in drawing, painting, photography, stained glass, and pottery, as well as creative writing and printmaking. We also plan to add digital arts, fiber arts, metalsmithing and more. Partner with us at the EDUCATE level to support our program administration, advertising, and the purchase of supplies and materials FOR ALL FOUR SEMESTERS.
